Radioisotope Identifier
The Micro-Detective system was
designed for use at border
crossings, cargo ship docks, and
transportation terminals to
detect and differentiate
between potentially dangerous
radioactive materials and otherwise harmless radiation sources. It weighs 15 pounds. The
Micro-Detective meets ANSI N32.34 radioisotope identification standards, and in addition, can identify many new
radionuclides which have recently been adopted for use
in medicine and industry. —ORTEC Products Group/div of

Laboratory Exhaust System
Vector™-CD (Centrifugal High Plume Dilution) Laboratory
Exhaust System combines high plume dilution stack design
with a side inlet centrifugal arrangement to safely exhaust
laboratory work environments.
The centrifugal blower design is
used for applications requiring
horizontal air intake or for systems with external static pressures in excess of 8 inches wg.
The Vektor™-CD uses a backward curved flat blade and
backward curved airfoil blade
that allow for efficient operation with reduced energy
consumption and lower overall sound levels.

Hearing Conversation
Software
Hearing Conversation Software provides
all the needed data tools to help begin
reducing the risk of employee hearing
loss. With a minimum five years of known
good data, an audiometric trend analysis can be executed, which establishes
baseline program performance, and
which serves as the launch point for continuous program
improvements. The software not only manages employee
exposure and audiometric records, it applies advanced
analysis algorithms that generate key performance metrics for benchmarking and improving current program
effectiveness. —Larson Davis, 716/926-8243.

Cabinet Coolers
Cabinet Coolers with Side
Mount Kits make the mounting in tight spaces of a NEMA
12 cabinet cooler possible
when an electrial enclosure
has limited space on the top
or side. Cabinet Coolers convert an ordinary supply of
compressed air to 20°F without refrigerants or CFC’s. Cooling capacities up to 5,600
Btu/hr. are available. Cabinet Cooler systems include a
compressed air filter to assure no moisture or dust is introduced inside the panel. Optional thermostat control minimizes compressed air use. Cabinet Coolers are UL Listed
and have no moving parts to wear out.

Personal Noise Dosimeter
The ER-200 Personal Noise Dosimeter is a portable device
that measures sound levels. Its purpose is to allow people
subjected to loud environments or noise sources to estimate the potential impact on their hearing. It offers two
modes of operation: Normal mode measures and displays
noise dose continually for up to 16 hours, with an early
warning that the user is approaching over-exposure, and
should use hearing protection. Quick Check mode measures noise for two minutes, then calculates and displays
the estimated dose per hour. —Etymotic Research,
