Intrinsically Safe Gas Detector
This intrinsically safe gas detector uses plug-in modules to spot dangerous concentrations of over
50 toxic or explosive gases - from arsine to xylene. Each module is precision turned to “see” a specific gas, so that calibration is simply pulling one module and replacing it with a new one. Module
changeover takes less than 10 seconds, and does not require area evacuation or declassification
even in hazardous locations, since the detector is inherently intrinsically safe.

Automatic Calibration
The Automatic Remote Gas Calibrator allows calibration of Model S4000CH Combustible Gas
Detectors with a remotely-installed sensor. It blocks ambient air and re-directs the calibration
gas to the catalytic bead sensor for calibration or testing sensor accuracy. The instrument can
calibrate gases at wind velocities as high as 50 mph and maximum temperatures of 75°C. After
connecting it to any S4000CH Detector, it can be operated manually or electronically via HART
or Modbus, or the magnet menu. — General Monitors, 800/330-9161
Portable Gas Monitor
The OBSERVER® portable gas monitor - the portable with the ability to indicate hazardous conditions in two places at the same time. The OBSERVER® is a new generation versatile portable gas
monitor that separates the sensors from the display unit and has alarm annunciation on both
halves. The instrument monitors up to 5 different gases, has auto self-diagnostics of batteries, sensors, and electronics and has a rugged design to withstand harsh conditions. This separate transmitting and receiving unit enables lowering of the sensing unit into a confined space to check for the
presence of gases and safe oxygen levels before entering the area of concern.

Digital Gas Detection Transmitters
BST digital gas detection transmitters are field addressable, real
BACnet output, network, digital
transmitters that accommodate
electrochemical, solid-state, catalytic and PID sensor technologies
with more than 18 different sensors
to select from. BSTs are supplied in
rugged polycarbonate, general
purpose or water tight enclosures
with secured, hinged doors. Local display and dry contact
relay options are also available. — Critical Environment
