Thermo Fisher Scientific signed an agreement to acquire Ahura Scientific, a manufacturer of field deployed analytical instruments for human health and public safety. The deals if for $145 million in cash plus the potential for an earn-out payment based on the achievement of certain 2010 finan- cial targets.
Galson Laboratories have acquired Parker Services Laboratory in Wisconsin. Parker is is an industrial hygiene testing laboratory and client service center located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Farr Air Pollution Control (APC), a producer of dust and fume collectors to clean up industrial processes, has announced that the company will now operate under the name Camfil Farr Air Pollution Control. The name change reflectts the company’s expansion to an international company.

First Line Technology, LLC has been awarded a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Health Affairs (OHA) for respirators for the DHS Pandemic Stockpile.
