Multigas Detector New Sensor Options
The MSA ALTAIR® 5 Multigas Detector now features sensors for the
following gases: chlorine, nitrogen dioxide, ammonia, phosphine,
hydrogen cyanide and chlorine dioxide. The ALTAIR 5IR Multigas
Detector features new carbon dioxide, methane, propane and
butane Infrared sensors. All models have global approvals,
MotionAlert™ and InstantAlert™ features, a rugged over-molded
housing, and a color display with custom logo option. — MSA, 877/672-2222,

Fixed Gas Detector
The 2-Wire Model accepts all Toxic and Oxygen SensAlert Plus Sensors.
The 3-wire model accepts all SensAlert Plus Sensors. Both are able to be
shop or field calibrated. The sensors can be hot-swapped in Hazardous
Classified Areas. Maintenance and troubleshooting are significantly
reduced with the I.S. Sensor Head. Data is time stamped and the unit displays percent sensor life remaining based on sensor and environmental
specific variables. — Sensidyne LP, 800/451-9444,

Portable Multi-Gas Detector
RECON/4 is a compact portable gas detector with a color LCD. It can
monitor for CO, H2S, O2 and combustible gas simultaneously. The instrument features STEL, TWA and two instant alarms with audio/visual and
vibratory indicators, rechargeable battery, and one-button operation.
The belt-clip-style instrument is designed to be intrinsically safe and
weighs about 6 ounces (200 g). — ENMET Corp., 734/761-1270,

PAK a LADDER pads were designed for service workers who must carry
ladders to and from their work sites. They allow workers to carry their
ladders without pain or discomfort, by providing a cushion. These rub-
ber pads simply compression fit into the side rails at the balance point,
of most aluminum and fiberglass step ladders. A safer carry method
is made possible, by providing better control. Working Concepts Inc.,

Gas Detection Service
iNet is a software-based service. It increases safety, providing visibility into
alarms, exposure and usage. It also keeps gas detectors working without
costly and time-consuming maintenance. iNet subscribers do not have to
buy the gas detectors. Instead, they receive Gas Detection as a Service.

Mercury Vapor Analyzers
The hand-held Jerome® 431-X utilizes gold sensor technology to
detect vapor concentrations from as low as 0.003 mg/m3 to as
high as 0.999 mg/m3 in just 13 seconds. The newer Jerome® J405
features a lighter, more ergonomically designed case and an
improved gold-film sensor. 24/7 customer service is provided by the
company, which is ISO 9001 registered. — Arizona Instrument,

Air Sampling
Air-O-Cell Collector for SEM Identification performs optical and
scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and x-ray analysis on the
exact same air sample. The sample can be examined and re-examined by both optical and electron microscopy in any order
without significant particle loss or complex sample preparation.
The high chemical stability, clarity, and ultra-smooth surface of the collection media
enable a wide range of chemical, microbiological, and elemental analysis techniques.

Respirator Fit Testing
If your mask requires fit testing, count on the PortaCount Pro+ to
provide an OSHA-accepted fit test method. No other fit tester can
quantitatively fit test all respirator types – gas masks, SCBAs, respirators, and N95 disposable masks. If you need a PortaCount to help
cover annual testing or emergency needs demands, or your budget doesn’t allow you to own one, RAECO offers the respirator fit test
systems for rent on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. — RAECO
