The Chlorine Institute Inc. has published two new documents that are available free online to help sodium hypochlorite users avoid accidents caused by improper mixing of the chemical. A fact sheet, “Avoiding Accidental Mixing of Sodium Hypochlorite,” focuses on recommendations for avoiding improper mixing of sodium hypochlorite during bulk unloading. It explains that injuries and/or property damage can result from improper mixing, provides a checklist for reference during bulk unloading, and offers several design criteria recommendations. The second document, “Sodium Hypochlorite Only (Bleach) UN1791,” is a poster intended for display in areas where sodium hypochlorite is handled; it recommends eight steps to guard against situations that can lead to accidental mixing. Safe Driver iPhone App

The Safe Driver program is an Apple iPhone download that provides instant notification of car speed and acceleration violations. The Safe Driver program documents Acceleration, Braking, Cornering and Speed. Once desired set points are entered, the program records the speed and calculates the g forces experienced by the driver. Mobile Crane

The mobile Telescopic Mast Jib Crane with OMNI-DIRECTIONAL mobility was designed to enable the production crew to position components during the aircraft assembly process.
